This summer’s version of the
Blades Looking for Support Staff
Blenheim Blades of the Great Lakes Junior ‘C’ Hockey League are looking for an trainer, equipment manager, a stats taker and someone interested in videotaping the club’s games during the 2010-11 season.
The team is also looking for volunteers to help out at various events and with projects.
The Blades play a 40-game league schedule beginning in early September

Blades New Logo
The team is getting new uniforms this year and in the process is combining the old with the new by going back to the red, white and gold Calgary Flames colours worn by the team from the late 1970s to mid-1990s with the current Flames colours of red, white, gold and black.
The home jersey will be white with the other three colours as trim, while the road one will be red with white, black and gold trim.
Coaching staff in place, Blades to open camp Aug. 23
Blenheim Blades head coach Bob McNear announced today that former Blade, Chatham Maroon and Ohio University player Paul Warriner will be joining him and Todd Warriner behind the Blades bench for the 2010-11 Great Lakes Junior ‘C Hockey League season.
Paul, a cousin of Todd’s, played his minor hockey in Blenheim, two years with the Blades (1998-99, 1999-2000), and three with the Maroons before heading off on a scholarship to Ohio University for four years. In his first year at OU Paul’s team won the ACHA championship.
