Blades looking for support staff

Blenheim Blades of the Great Lakes Junior ‘C’ Hockey League are looking for an experienced trainer, equipment manager, a stats taker and someone interested in videotaping the club’s games during the 2010-11 season.

The team is also looking for volunteers to help out at various events and with projects.

The Blades play a 40-game league schedule beginning in early September

Blades golf tourney moved to June 26

Blenheim Blades will hold the club’s annul golf tournament on Saturday, June 26 this summer after several years of teeing off on the May 24th holiday weekend.
Once again the Blenheim Golf Course will host the event and the Blades are looking for as many as 36 foursomes to take part in the club’s major fundraiser.
Both men and women are encouraged to play in the best-ball format that will be followed by a dinner at the course.

Blades hold annual banquet, awards night

It was a big evening for a rookie forward and two veteran defenceman when Blenheim Blades held the team’s annual banquet and awards night Thursday at the Blenheim Legion.

Alex Seguin, of Windsor, took home three of the club’s major trophies. The speedy centre was named the Blades most valuable player and rookie-of-the-year by the coaching staff, and also finished as the top scorer with 69 points thanks to 29 goals and 40 assists. Both totals were tops on the team.
