Blades Miss Golden Opportunity

With a chance to move one point up on The Alvinston Flyers for the final playoff spot in the Northern Division, The Blenheim Blades took to the ice at home against a beatable and tired Mooretown Flags team. The previous night saw The Flags & Dresden Jr. Kings rough each other up but it was Mooretown who came out energized and got the early jump on the hometown Blades.

The Blenheim Blades are doing their best to snatch the final playoff spot away from the Alvinston Flyers in the Northern Division. Friday night The Blades traveled up HWY 21 into Dresden to face their longtime rivals in a critical game and once again Coach McNear & his staff had their boys fired up and ready to play.

Last Monday night the Blades Alumni held another successful steak night fundraiser at the Blenheim Legion. Over 100 were in attendance to enjoy steak dinner Original Blades Coach Dave Baldwin attended the social event while Dave O'Brien & Lee Attawell made a $1,500.00 cheque presentation on behalf of the Blades Alumni Association to Blenheim Blades Treasurer Matt Butzer.

Sunday night The Blades looked to make up some more ground on Alvinston in the chase for the final playoff spot as they hosted the Wheatley Sharks knowing that The Flyers had already lost to Belle River in a matinee game played in Alvinston.
