Blenheim Hockey School Aug 23 - 27

This summer’s version of the Blenheim Hockey School will run from Monday, Aug. 23 to Friday Aug. 27 at the Blenheim arena.

There will be two sessions for all players – Atoms and Novice from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and Peewees and Bantams from 5 to 6:30 – eligible to play in these divisions this winter.   Players will get seven-and-a-half hours of ice time under the guidance of current and former Blenheim Blade players and coaches including head coach Bob McNear, Ronnie VanHeesch, Dan Oliphant, Scott Bacik and Brent Rumble.

Besides playing for the Blades, Oliphant, Bacik and Rumble, like McNear, spent time behind the bench as coaches. Bacik played university hockey at the University of Windsor, while Rumble played at Eastern Michigan University before playing professionally for three seasons.
