Richard Rumble

Richard joined the Blades Executive in summer of 2005 and was integral in spear-heading the Blades Alumni Association.  The Alumni Association has flourished and continued to grow under the watchful eye of this retired elementary school teacher.  Richard was involved with Blenheim's hockey scene for a number of years as his two sons, Mark & Phillip are both graduates of the BMHA program.  In 1965 Richard strapped on the pads and picked up a goalie stick and tended the nets as The Blenheim Blades first ever goaltender.  Sadley Richard passed away on June 14, 2009 and for the 2009/10 Season The Blades Organization will honour Richard Rumble and his dedication to the organization by wearing "RR" Memorial Patches on thier uniform shoulder and will induct Richard into the Blenheim Blades Alumni Hall of Fame during Alumni Night, Saturday November 14th, 2009.  Fitting as the Hall of Fame was started by Richard.
